We are created with an inborn sense of community – helping and interacting with those we come in contact with on a daily or weekly basis. Most people spend a majority of their time in one section of town that is closest to where they live. They have a local grocery store, a local bank, a local post office, gas station and the list goes on, but one need that many overlook is the need for a local church. A local church provides a place to grow spiritually while being a part of a church “family”. Many WVU-Beckley students and faculty may be far away from home and the community that they are familiar with, but Victory Baptist Church’s family type atmosphere can give encouragement and a sense of belonging. Here’s why:
Victory Baptist Church is made up of people of all ages and walks of life. There is a prevailing sense of unity and harmony where you can fit in and be blessed while at the same time being a blessing to others.
We’re an educational church-
Since 1982 Victory Baptist Academy, a ministry of our church, has been one of the premier educational options for families in Southern West Virginia. We’re educators! We understand the needs and pressures of teachers and students, and because of that we have a special burden to minister to the faculty, staff and students of WVU-Beckley.
